Every inkjet and laser paper you choose to print on is different.

The base color of the paper can also be different. Laser papers and dye sublimation printers have different transfer characteristics that impact toner adhesion and color reproduction.

Paper manufacturers provide a generic profile, but this is usually based on a single test at a particular moment in time under conditions different from the environment where you are printing. Your printer’s inkjet heads or laser imaging units naturally drift in performance as they age, affecting color.
