What inspired you to become a photographer/videographer?

My father inspired me to pursue photography. Nowadays, I am inspired by nature and the natural world.

What is your photography style?

Remote and other-worldly landscapes are my passion. Drawn to sweeping and rugged landscapes, I am in my element in the wilderness. I search for the pristine in nature: solitariness, peace, tranquility, and the grandeur that comes from the pure, unspoilt, often threatening, and sometimes beautiful, but always dramatic and powerful style of the natural world. In these wild places, I seek out the dramatic and the portentous to produce thrilling images you will remember forever—the raw power of nature.

How did you get to where you are now?

Persistence, Hard work and a long term investment in myself.

Why is color management important to your workflow?

We spend an inordinate amount of time and money on the capture side and processing side of our craft. Ultimately, however, we view the fruit of our work as a print or a slide show, or on the web. It is critical to ensure that what I have spent time and money to process looks the same way in print or on the web, and there is only one way to guarantee this, and that is with Color Management.

What are your favorite brands you have worked with?

X-Rite, Moab, BenQ, Livebooks, Gura Gear and Canon

What would you say is your greatest achievement to this day?

Teaching so many people over the years has bought me enormous happiness.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

Life is too short to drink bad coffee.

What is a top tip for people who aspire to do what you do?

Never give up. Always keep trying.

EQUIPMENT TOOLKIT:

X-Rite I1 Display Pro and Xrite ISIS2XL
