MICHAEL B. REHDERS
Michael was born and raised in Hamburg, and has been working as a freelance photojournalist for various national and international clients since 1996. Besides portraits, his main focus is on journalistic events and product photography, where he works closely with journalists and manufacturers for major international events and presentations in Germany.
Since 2013, Michael has regularly conducted workshops, seminars and training courses in companies, editorial offices and universities/colleges in which he teaches graphic designers, photographers and editors the basics of colour management.
His publications include „Der Spiegel”, „AUDIOVISION”, „HEIMKINO”, „Gala”, „Hamburger Abendblatt” and „BILD”.
Colour management can greatly simplify the digital workflow. This way, images look exactly the same on the monitor as they will later look in online and print media, without me having to change anything on the monitor afterwards. I simply assign the appropriate colour profiles to the images. This way, my clients always receive product photos with precise colours. This saves time, money and reduces complaints.
My greatest success is certainly that as a photographer and colour management expert I have the opportunity to work for major magazines in Germany and to train graphic designers and photographers in universities, colleges and companies.
To be honest, I am very happy that people trust me.
