Neil started photographing in Vancouver doing commercial photography of all types and then moved to Paris specializing in luxury and cosmetics photography. He then followed on teaching fashion and continued fine art photography. Neil has experience with motion picture and advertising films, as well as some event and wedding film making. He’s also been a color imaging consultant since 1997 for product development for printing, display, and instrument fields.

Why is color management important to your workflow?

The portal into imagery is how it is viewed, where, and why. Color management is the means to a start, not an end.

What would you say is your greatest achievement to this day?

To be able to help others to achieve great imagery.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

I really wanted to be a race car mechanic.

What is a top tip for people who aspire to do what you do?

Pick a mentor that has a history and imagery that has lasted over the years and ask yourself when creating imagery « is this how my mentor would see it? ».
