Even though a lot of us are viewing images on uncalibrated mobile phones and tablets, if you are taking the time to work up your raw images having a calibrated and profiled monitor will make sure that your color is accurate regardless of how the images are being viewed. And of course if you go and make a print of those images they will have accurate color as well. On the flip side, if you are working up raw images on an uncalibrated monitor you are essentially working in your own reality with no idea if the colors you are seeing are what others will see. Regardless of how your images are viewed, working up images on a calibrated and profiled monitor assures you have crafted them to the highest level possible.

Everyone should calibrate their displays. Beginning at an unknown starting point, you have no idea what other people will be seeing. Knowing that your display is calibrated is should always be the first step.

Want to know why you need to color manage all the devices in your workflow? Think about walking into an appliance store to shop for TVs. You see a wall of them and the color and detail is different on every one of them? Now imagine you have to edit across them.

We spend an inordinate amount of time and money on the capture and processing side of our craft. Ultimately, however, we view the fruit of our work as a print or a slide show or on the web. It is critical to ensure that what I have spent time and money on to process, looks the same way in print or on the web and there is only one way to guarantee this and that is with Color Management.

Monitor Calibration:

Editing and color grading video footage is growing by leaps and bounds and the necessity for accurate color representation on screen is even more paramount. The only way to edit video accurately is to view your footage accurately. Whether you’re a filmmaker, photographer or both, ColorChecker Display Plus uses advanced technologies to perfect your color throughout your production and post-production workflow, making sure that what you see is what you’ll get.

Projector Calibration:

Now your projected presentations can look the same as your monitor. Build an accurate projector profile in just minutes – it’s as easy as building a monitor profile. The process takes all of the room conditions into consideration – projected colors, screen color and room lighting – so that you can be confident that your projected images are showing the way you intended.
