My name is Rafa Aremu.  I was born and raised in Washington, DC, and later moved to PG County.  My fascination with photography began when I was younger, seeing Francis Wolff’s black and white jazz photos in the hall of Powell Elementary.  I dabbled in phone photography prior to saving up for my first camera, a Nikon D850, which I purchased in 2021.  Since then, I quit my job in the medical field and pursued my passions full-time.  Doing so, I have found myself in various countries, meeting a variety of beautiful souls.  My photography spans different areas, which often causes it to be labeled unorthodox.  I shoot fine art, portraiture, fashion, as well as sport.  I’m shooting primarily in B&W, but some of my photography requires color if it was pictured so in my mind, giving it a different aspect of my artistry and vision.
