Brand Ambassador SOLLI KANANI

Solli Kanani is an award-winning Paris-based professional photographer. She specializes in landscape and food photography but also enjoys exploring other genres of photography. She loves travelling to find inspiration and create lifelong memories, which she can capture with her camera. In 2020 and 2021, a selection of her photos got shortlisted in the prestigious Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year. Solli creates visuals for household name brands, restaurants, hotels, and Michelin-starred, award-winning chefs. Apart from images she also works on content such as stop motion animations and other videos. Solli has her food photography YouTube channel, where she shares tips and tutorials and holds numerous webinars, often in collaboration with different brands. For several years she has been working with Nikon, and she is also a BenQ AQCOLOR Expert.

Why is color management important to your workflow?

Colour management is a fundamental part of my workflow. I want people to see what I see. Not only is it important for images for print and web but also when shooting food and products for commercial its even more important that the colors are accurate.

What would you say is your greatest achievement to this day?

That I’m able to work with my passion as a professional.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

Thanks to my photography I have stepped out of my comfort zone and learned new things but also discovered places I never thought I would.

What is a top tip for people who aspire to do what you do?

Follow your dreams, invest in your passion and never give up.
