Calibrite PROFILER for Display 123 – Native or Photo?

About the following product:

In response to the following scenarios:

The Solution:

The Photo option calibrates the monitor to a color temperature of 6500K (D65), and 120 cd/m2 brightness. These are universally recommended settings for most photographic and general work which reduces the chance of eye-strain.

The Native option calibrates the monitor to a color temperature of 6500K (D65), but retains the your preferred current brightness setting of the monitor.
NOTE: The preferred brightness must be set before the calibration process, adjusting the brightness after calibration will require the calibration process to be repeated.

This means you can set the brightness of the monitor to your personal preference, and if the Native setting is selected, it will keep the brightness the same but still ensuring the color of the monitor is optimal. Whereas, if Photo option is selected the brightness of the monitor will be adjusted to 120 cd/m2 during the calibration process.
